Some folks have been having trouble with the Expansion so we thought we'd collate all the most popular problems into one post.
The Expansion doesn't happen automatically when you complete the final expansion mission, it needs a few further steps, so don't worry that it hasn't worked if you don't get an explosion of space when finishing the final mission.
You need to take a few more steps in the Land Office...
Click the Office and select "Go Inside".
On this screen craft the required Land Grants:
29x29 - 1 Land Grant
33x33 - 2 Land Grants
35x35 - 3 Land Grants
37x37 - 4 Land Grants
39x39 - 5 Land Grants
41x41 - 6 Land Grants
43x43 - 7 Land Grants
Exit, and click on the Land Office again, this time selecting "Buy Land".
Although mine is locked (I've still got missions to finish) YOURS will have a buy button underneath the Homestead icon for the expansion you've just completed, simply click that to have Jack pop up and expand your borders, costing you the Land Grants as he does!

Horse levels and bonuses
Welcome to Honest Bob's Used Horse Dealership!
Yup, I'm sure you'll be wanting to pick yourself up a good deal here so let me tell you just what we have in stock!
First up we've got the Quarter Horse, This is the slowest of all the horses for the walking pace and it takes longer to level up to begin with, but then takes a lot less XP to reach the top levels! Strangely, despite being the slowest walker, it begins with 4 points to Speed.
Then comes the Mustang, a sort of Jack of all trades, master of none. A touch faster than the Quarter Horse but slower to level up right across the board. It's starts out with basic stats on all four categories.
The Palomino is average at walking speed but levels up quickly across the board. It's starting stats are one of the weakest sets however.
The Ivory Andalusian is a good all round horse. Quick to walk, quick to level and comes with the best set of all round statistics for the coins-bought horses with 4 in everything.
Holding its place as the most expensive horse the Silver Andalusian is tied for fastest walker and comes with excellent starting statistics across the board, the best of all the horses. However although initial levels are quickly gained, later levels actually take significantly more XP than most other horses.
Finally it's the Thoroughbred, the joint fastest of all the horses and the quickest of all for levelling up most of the way, although it needs a lot more XP to reach the top levels! It's got arguably the second best set of starting statistics although if you're looking to max out a single stat then the Arabian has an extra point in two categories.
Then just name your mount, if y'all can't think of what to call it why not try one of our suggestions?
Abaccus, Acadia, Buttons, Blue Belle, Cadillac Jack, Coyote Dancer, Dakota, Duchess, El Dorado, Ebony, Flare, Feather Fall, Ginger, Gypsy Rose, Hightime Devil, Hemlock, Icabob Mane, Ishtarna, Jammer, Jewell Mine, Kasimira, Kestral, Lugano, Lady's Might, Mandolin, Martingale, Navajo Son, Night Rave, Opal, Ol' Faithful, Picket, Pilgrim Piper, Quiver, Quest Tracker, Red Dawn Little, Ric-O-Shay, Spun Silver, Saturnine, Tex, Twister, Under Par, Ulysses, Vagabond, Velvet Storm, Walker, Wind Runner, Xanadu, Xavier, Yukon Gold, Yarrow, Zephyr or Ziggy Tips.
And finally, don't be forgetting those horse boosts! Use one of these and you'll get yerself extra Horse XP for a certain number of tends:

Looking for Leprechaun Items? Here's the Guide!
So, forget those Lucky Charms, we know what you REALLY want to get a hold of are the Leprechaun's Pot 'o' Gold! Well, to get that you need the leprechaun collection... so where can you find it?!
We've decided to write up a little note of where to collect those funky green items and take away the little green man's cauldron full of goodies.
There is a very small chance of collection items dropping from anything you do on your own frontier, and on neighbours. Every task has the following chances:
Common Collectible - 1%
Uncommon Collectible - 1%
Rare Collectible - 0.5%
Now, obviously those are not good odds so the best thing is to concentrate on the items with a bigger chance of dropping those that you want.
The majority of those are items you should already be planting or tending for missions, Cows, Clover, Potatoes and Cabbage... however, strangely and slightly randomly the items also drop from SHEEP... so if you've been ignoring the wooly blighters thinking they won't help, think again!
Each of those items have the following drop rate chances:
The Leprechaun has two chances to pop a Collectible out, when it "attacks" and when it's caught.
When it's attacked the chances are:
When it's clobbered it's:
There's also the chance of a Pot 'o' Gold itself dropping 1% of the time you clobber a Leprechaun!
When you open up a Pot 'o' Gold the chances of finding collectibles are:
So there we go, all the chances of picking up those hiding little St Paddy's day items! So best get searching!

Using your Blacksmith Tools (The Valerie Bruno Dedication Post)
Easily the best part of the new Blacksmith Shop is the ability to craft tools to use to speed up work on your homestead.
These are the Harvester (or, as the more observant may have registered, a scythe) and a Feeder. Once crafted you place them on your homestead (if you have any space left at all...) ready to be used.
Once you've decided where you're going to use your tool click on it to bring up it's menu:
Pick "Use" and simply select a group of up to five crops (for the Harvester) or animals (with the feeder) and click on them in much the same way as hiring a friend or using the Fast Hands Boost.
Please note, UNLIKE the fast hands boost using a tool consumes the normal amount of energy so up to five points each click. It can also be used again and again as the tools are permanent.
With animals try to group them together as the feeder has a radius effect just like hiring does so needs the animals to be near each other.
Then just sit back and enjoy all the extra time you've got on your hands thanks to your labour saving devices! Can I suggest surfing our site? ;)
